BANGKOK – January 10, 2023: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd, one of Thailand’s xEV leaders, led by Mr. Sarote Maartlert (main picture, 2nd from right), Senior Vice President, Sales, After Sales and Network Improvement Unit, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to leverage vocational workforces and research and development of innovative technologies for modern automotive industry (Electric Vehicle or EV). Held at Pathumthani Vocational Education College, the MoU signing ceremony was presided over by Ms. Treenuch Thienthong, Minister of Education and was attended by Acting Sub Lt. Thanu Wongjinda, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of the Vocational Education Commission, Mr. Kritsda Utamote, President of the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand along with executives from vehicle manufacturing companies and academic institutions.
Under the terms of the MoU, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand will commit to support workforce skill development along with leveraging academic courses, research and development and technology transfer of innovative technologies to increase and develop workforce for modern automotive industry (Electric Vehicle or EV) with determination to drive Thailand toward a carbon-neutral society. It is also a part of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s commitment ‘To Contribute and Grow with Thai Society’ and its three main pillars – Education, Environment and Health.
